CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-145 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION CONCERNING THE <br />PLACEMENT OF A CITY COUNCIL SPONSORED <br />INITIATI~ PROPOSING A GENERAL PLAN AF, ENDMENT <br />REGARDING THE PLEASANTON RIDGELANDS ON THE <br />NOVEMBER 6, 1990 MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 4017 of the Elections Code permits the City <br />Council to submit to the voters, without a petition <br />therefor, a proposition for the repeal, amendment or <br />enactment of an ordinance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed and considered a proposed <br />Initiative Ordinance attached to this Resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has directed that certain changes be <br />made to the proposed Initiative Ordinance but finds that <br />it is in the best interest of the community to place this <br />matter on the November 1990 ballot. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The city Council adopts a resolution of intention to <br /> place a City Council sponsored initiative, proposing that <br /> the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton be amended <br /> regarding the Pleasanton Ridgelands, on the ballot for <br /> the November 6, 1990 General Municipal Election. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Attorney is directed to make the revisions to <br />the proposed Initiative as discussed by the City Council <br />and return the revised Initiative to the City Council on <br />August 7, 1990 for further consideration. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
