The Pleasanton model does not separately estimate <br />mode choice; instead it uses a table of factors derived from the MTC model mode <br />choice results. The City travel demand tool uses the zone to zone mode choice <br />results from the latest available MTC model data to predict how existing transit <br />and car usage will change in the "Approved" and General Plan "Buildout" future <br />scenarios. The MTC model predicted rates of person trips using the auto between <br />zones are used to convert person trip generation to vehicle (auto) trip generation <br />used in the Pleasanton forecast model.
