GEOLOGYAND SOILS <br />Environmental Setting <br />The project facilities are located in an Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zone as delineated by the <br />California Division of Mines and Geology. A geotechnical engineering investigation report was <br />prepared for the project (DCM Engineering 2005) and recommendations of the report have been <br />incorporated into the project design and construction of the project. <br />Standards of Significance <br />For purposes of this environmental document, an impact is considered significant if the proposed <br />project would: <br />• Result in a project being built that will either introduce geologic, soils, or seismic hazard <br />by allowing the construction of the project on such a site without protection against those <br />hazards. <br /> Less than <br /> Potentially Significant Less than <br /> Significant Wilh Mitigation Significant No <br />ISSUOS Impact Incorporated Impact Impret <br />Geolosy and Soils <br />Would the project: <br />a) Expose people or structures to potential <br />substantial adverse effects, including the risk of <br />loss, injury, or death involving: <br />i) Ruphtre of a known earthquake fault, as ~ ~ `Y <br />delineated on the most recent Alquist-Priolo <br />Earthquake Fault Zoning Map issued by the <br />State Geologist for the area or based on other <br />substantial evidence of a known fault'?
