CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-124 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION PROMULGATING CERTAIN RUT~S AND <br />REGULATIONS CONCERNING BICYCLES IN PARKAND <br />RECREATIONAL FACILITIES. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 13.08.210 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br />provides that the Director is authorized to promulgate <br />from time to time such other and further rules and <br />regulations as may be necessary for the purpose of <br />regulating the use of any park and recreation facility; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed <br />certain rules and regulations concerning bicycles in <br />park and recreational facilities and has recommended <br />that the City Council adopt these rules and <br />regulations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Section 13.08.210 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code, the following rules and <br />regulations concerning bicycles in park and <br />recreational facilities are hereby adopted: <br /> <br />BICYCLES <br /> <br />ae <br /> <br />Bicycles are permitted on paved roads and unpaved roads over <br />8 feet in width unless otherwise posted. <br /> <br />Be <br /> <br />Bicycles are not permitted on single track trails or <br />horseback riding trails. <br /> <br />Ce <br /> <br />Bicyclists are not permitted to ride cross country; all <br />bicycle use is restricted to designated roads, pathways, and <br />trails. <br /> <br />De <br /> <br />Bicycles must travel in single file on the right side of the <br />trail when on turns or blind corners. <br /> <br />Ee <br /> <br />Bicyclists may not ride or operate a bicycle at excessive <br />speeds or in an irresponsible manner in violation of <br />published trail etiquette or posted bicycle speed limits. <br /> <br /> <br />
