Prior to the commencement of ane clr~rin~~. ~~ra~lin~, or c~ca~•ation. the project rle~ doper <br />shall obtain the Consh~uction .~etivities Storm ~~'ater Cienerul Permit li-rnn the State A~~ater <br />~ZCSOUCCCS Control C3oard. <br />6U. Che project developer shall submit a construction I3est 1~1ana~acment Practices (I3'~1P's) <br />program for revie~ti and approval by the Planning Director prior to issuance of building <br />and,'or gradin~~ permits. These I3h~iP's shall be implemented by the ~~eneral contractor and <br />all subcontractors and suppliers oFinaterials and equipment. ConsU~uction site cleanup <br />and control of construction debris shall also be addressed. failure to comply with the <br />appro~cd construction [31v1P may result in the issuance of correction notices, citations, or <br />a stop work order. "Il1e project developer is responsible fur implementing the lollowine <br />measures during all construction phases of the project: <br />^. Gather all construction debris on a regular basis and place it in a dumpstcr or other <br />container which is emptied or removed on a ~~cel.l}~ basis. ~Uhen appropriate. use <br />tarps ou the ground to collect Fallcx~ debris or splatters that could contribute to storm <br />water runoff pollution. <br />h. Rcnx>ve all dirt, gravel, rubbish, refuse. and green waste from the street pavement <br />and storm drains adjoining the site. Limit construction access routes onto the site and <br />place gravel on them. Do not ch~i~c vehicles and equipment off paved ur graveled <br />areas during wet weather. Broom-s~~cep the sh~cct pavement ndjoiniug the project <br />site on a daily basis. Scrape calved-on mud and dirt Prom these areas bclorc s~~~ecping. <br />c. Install filter materials (such as sandbags, filter fabric, etc.) at the storm drain inlet <br />nearest the downsh~eam side of the project site in order to retain anti debris or dirt <br />ilo~-sing i^ the storm drain system. Maintain and!or replace litter materials to ensure <br />effectiveness and to prevent sUret flooding. <br />d. Create a contained and covered area on the site for the storage of bags, cement. <br />paints, oils, lertilizcrs. pesticides, or other materials used ou the site that have the <br />potential of being discharged into the storm drain system through being windblown ur <br />in the event of a material spill. <br />c. Never clean machinery, equipment. fouls, brushes. or rinse a~ntainers into a street_ <br />~~uttcr, or storm drain. <br />f.
