Options for Consideration
In an attempt to address neighborhood concerns, staff, the applicant, and the neighbors
developed four master plan options in addition to the Master Plan approved by the
Planning Commission on January 24, 2007. All of the options were discussed by the
Planning Commission; however, only two of the master plans (Exhibit A and Option
No. 1) were graphically depicted at the time of the Planning Commission meeting on
January 24, 2007. The additional options noted below, 2, 3 and 4, were described
during the presentation and discussed by the Planning Commission but not graphically
depicted. They have been further developed and a graphic representation is provided
for the City Council based on staff's efforts and discussion with both the Church and the
Appellant.
Option No. 1:
This plan, reviewed by the Planning Commission on January 24, 2007, is similar to
Exhibit A with the following revisions:
^ The number of the parking spaces in the north parking lot (Golden Road) has
been reduced from the proposed 101 spaces to 77 spaces;
^ The number of parking spaces in the south parking lot (Del Valle Parkway)
remains at 21 spaces;
^ The buffer zone between the north parking lot and the swim club is increased
from the proposed 20 feet to 60 feet, as a result, the existing trees identified as
an almond tree, a valley oak and aheritage-sized willow tree would be retained.
This plan responds to the neighbors' request to increase the buffer area on the east
side adjacent to the swim club. This plan would have a total of 98 parking spaces,
allocating 77 spaces in the Golden Road parking lot and the 21 spaces in the Del Valle
Parkway parking.

~ ,' n

Page 6 of 11
