Would <br />the project: <br />a) Conflict with or obstnlct implementation of the ^ ^ ^ ^ <br />applicable air quality plan`? <br />b) Violate any air quality standard or contribute ^ ^ ^X ^ <br />substantially to an existing or projected air quality <br />violation? <br />c) Result in a cumulatively considerable net increase ^ ^ ^ ^ <br />of any criteria pollutant for which the project <br />region is non- attainment under an applicable <br />federal or state ambient air quality standard <br />(including releasing emissions which exceed <br />quantitative thresholds for ozone precursors)'? <br />d) Expose sensitive receptors to substantial pollutant ^ ^ ^X ^ <br />concentrations'? <br />e) Create objectionable odors affecting a substantial ^ ^ ^X ^ <br />number of people? <br />Discussion <br />a) Less than Significant. The Bay Area 2000 C-ean Air Plan (CAP), jointly prepared by the <br />Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), Association of Bay Area <br />Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), contain <br />specific measures intended to improve air quality. Under the CAP, any project that attracts <br />automobile traffic or induces growth beyond that anticipated in the regional air quality plan <br />may be found to have a significant air quality impact. The City of Pleasanton population <br />growth projections were included in the development of the CAP. <br />The project is not expected to conflict with or obstruct the timely implementation of the <br />CAP or any subsequent CAP updates because it would not result in vehicle emissions <br />resulting from unplanned growth.
