City staff representing three departments (Public Works, Planning and Parks/Community Services) was involved in the stakeholder process and review of the SMMP drafts, including its Environmental Impact Report. In addition, considerable involvement, review and input to the process came from the Hacienda Business Park Owners Association. Recent Actions/Status The SMMP has given Zone 7 a planning tool or "road map" for addressing not only the flood control and channel maintenance issues with the valley, but also those other resource areas described above. The SMMP and associated Master Environmental Impact Report (MEIR) were adopted by the Zone 7 Board in August 2006, but the adoption did not include an implementation plan. Since that time, Zone 7 has undertaken a process to find the right consultant team to begin development of the implementation plan. In June 2006, Zone 7 began the consultant selection process and selected one consultant team out of five to lead the Stream Management Implementation Plan. This consultant team is led by West Yost & Associates, who have an office here in Pleasanton. Representatives of the team will be part of tonight's SMMP/SMIP presentation. Further Information The entire SMMP, an executive summary of the SMMP, along with the complete SMMP MEIR which includes detailed descriptions & locations of each of the 45 projects identified within the SMMP, are available for review through the Internet on the Zone 7 website: www/zone7water.com. Information regarding the SMIP is available at the same website address. Hard copies of the SMMP and/or the SMMP MEIR are also available at the Zone 7 Administrative Office located at 100 North Canyons Parkway in Livermore, Pleasanton's City Clerk's office, 123 Main Street or the City's Public Library, 400 Old Bernal Avenue in Pleasanton.
