November 2^, 2006
P-6803, L 27676
Ms. Robin Giffin
City of Pleasanton ~~ ~ -Sro
Planning and Community Development
P.O. Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 94566
RE: Geotechnical/Geologic Peer Revicw
Vineyard Pass Subdivision
865 Clara Lane
PLiD-56
Pleasanton, California
Dear Ms. Giffin:
At your request, we have performed ageotechnical/geologic peer review of the revised investigation
report for the proposed Vineyard Pass Subdivision (PUD-56). This parcel is located at 865 Clara Lane in
Pleasanton, California. Korbmacher Engineering (KE) originally performed a geotechnical study of this
parcel and submitted the results in a report dated June 2Q 2006. We reviewed the KE report and
submitted a summary of our findings in a letter to you dated September 29, 2006. In that letter, we
indicated the investigation report did not provide adequate information. KE revised their report and it was
re-issued on October 18, 2006. The purpose of our current review was to form an opinion regarding
whether the revised geotechnical/geologic report conformed to generally accepted standards of practice
and conform to the requirements of the Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan.
Based on our review of the revised report, it is our opinion that the October L8, 2006 geotechnical
investigation performed by KE for this parcel conforms to accepted geotechnical standards of practice and
the Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan.
Our services have been performed in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical principles and
practices. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied. Our services have
been provided at the request of the City of Pleasanton. Our role has been to provide technical assistance to
the City as it considers its permit decisions in this application, and we understand our firm is provided the
same protection as the City under State law.
