CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-71 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES AND SPECIAL <br />DISTRICTS IN ALAMEDA COUNTY FOR WASTE <br />MANAGEMENT <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the Joint Powers <br /> Agreement dated February 13, 1990 among the Cities <br /> and Special Districts of Alameda County, regarding <br /> waste management, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the above- <br /> described agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes the City Manager to participate in the <br /> Authority Agency Manager's Technical Advisory <br /> Committee to review the JPA and recommend further <br /> revisions to the JPA required for implementation of <br /> AB 939, the new State legislation of integrated <br /> solid waste management planning. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON MARCH 20, 1990 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br />Mayor Mercer <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FO~M: j <br /> <br />Michael H.
