FEES <br /> <br />ae <br /> <br />DEPARTMRNT GENERAL FEES - <br /> <br />Definition <br /> <br />Se <br /> <br />Refund Service Fee: Refunds are not granted if <br />requested later than three (3) working days prior <br />to the first class meeting. Refunds granted will <br />incur a $5.00 per class service charge. Full <br />refunds will be given for any classes cancelled by <br />the Department. NOTE: Aquatic Program refunds are <br />restricted to special circumstances only. <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />Non-resident: A non-resident is any client not <br />residing within the City limits of Pleasanton. <br />Non-resident Fee - $3.00 per class, except aquatic <br />training classes, $10.00 per class. <br /> <br />Late Fee: Registration is considered late if <br />completed after the fifth working day prior to the <br />day a class begins with the exception of Aquatics. <br />Aquatics late fee begins 2 working days prior to <br />first class. Late Fee - $2.00 per class. <br /> <br />d. Returned Check Service Fee: $10.00 per class. <br /> <br />CLASSES/PROGRAMS - Miscellaneous, Youth and Adult <br /> <br />The cost of fee classes is set to attempt to return the <br />full cost of the instructor(s) and materials plus an <br />additional 30% for program supervision and office <br />support. <br /> <br />Fee class instructors are paid either hourly or on a <br />contractual basis as determined by department staff and <br />instructor. Entering into a contract for program <br />service often allows the flexibility needed to provide a <br />program. A copy of the contract is attached for <br />information and approval. (Attachment A) The Recreation <br />Supervisor in charge of the fee classes negotiates the <br />contract. <br /> <br />Definition <br /> <br />Un%t of Measure: The unit/hour cost is computed by <br />determining the total cost of the class per person <br />and dividing by the number of class hours. <br /> <br />- 3 - <br /> <br /> <br />
