CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-51 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN <br />PATH PROJECTS AND ATW~CATING $208,000 <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />COSTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 6, 1990, Council received <br />the report of the Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities (SR 90:99) regarding proposed bike <br />trails/sidewalks oriented to the new middle school <br />on Case Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in order to provide safe routes for the children to <br />use to get to school, Council determined that those <br />routes which could be constructed most <br />expeditiously should be commenced as soon as <br />possible and the construction costs should be <br />allocated now; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves four bicycle/pedestrian path projects as <br /> follows: <br /> <br />ae <br /> <br />Path along south side of Bernal Avenue between <br />Valley Avenue and Pleasanton Avenue. <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />Ce <br /> <br />Path along east side of Sunol Boulevard from <br />Arlington Drive north to Sonoma Drive. <br /> <br />Sidewalk along the south side of Bernal Avenue <br />between Puerto Vallarta and First Street. <br /> <br />de <br /> <br />Pathway along the southerly end of the <br />existing Corporation Yard between Sunol <br />Boulevard and Case Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> Approves allocation of $208,000 from the <br />General Fund reserve for the construction of the <br />above four projects. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
