1 <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />Special City Council Meeting <br />January 16, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hosterman called the Special Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 6:35 p.m. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, <br />Absent: None <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENT -None <br />4. CLOSED SESSION <br />McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(b)-Conference with Legal Counsel <br />Anticipated litigation: <br />Concerning potential litigation against Granite Construction over its construction of <br />the asphalt plan on the CEMEX property adjacent to the Vineyard Avenue Corridor <br />Specific Plan area <br />Pursuant to Government Code §54956.8; Conference with Real Property Negotiator: <br />• Property: Proposed Community Park portion of the Staples Ranch <br />Agency negotiator: Nelson Fialho <br />Negotiating parties: Sharks Organization, Hendricks Automotive, CLC and the <br />Alameda County Surplus Property Authority <br />Under negotiation: Price, terms of payment, or both concerning a proposed lease to <br />the Sharks Organization for a portion of the Staples Ranch Community Park and <br />concerning a proposed lease to Hendricks Automotive and/or CLC for one or both to <br />use a portion of the Staples Ranch Community Park for storm water detention <br />purposes. <br />At the conclusion of the closed session City Attorney Roush advised that the Council did <br />not discuss the potential litigation issue and that there was no action to report from the <br />closed session. <br />5.
