CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-42 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADDING AGENDA ITEM REGARDING <br />INSTATJ~TION OF A THREE-WAY STOP SIGN AT <br />DRYWOOD STREET AND HIGHLAND OAKS DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 6, 1990, a representative <br />of the residents near Lydiksen School presented a <br />petition to Council requesting a three-way stop <br />sign to be installed at the intersection of Drywood <br />Street and Highland Oaks Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />consideration of such a resolution was not set <br />forth on the City Council agenda for March 6, 1990; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to <br />the agenda upon a two-thirds vote of the Council <br />that the item arose after the time the agenda was <br />posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in order to protect the health and safety of the <br />children in the area, Council believes it is <br />appropriate to take action on this matter before <br />the Council meets again; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Based on the findings set forth above, a <br />resolution establishing a three-way stop sign at <br />the intersection of Drywood Street and Highland <br />Oaks Drive is hereby added to the March 6, 1990 <br />agenda for Council consideration and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
