CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 90-38 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO CONSOLIDATED LANDSCAPE SERVICES, INC., FOR FAIRLANDS DRIVE MEDIAN IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 885070 WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for landscape improvements to street medians in various locations, Project No. 885070; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on February 20, 1990; and WHEREAS, due to the unexpected increased cost of the entire project, Council decided to reduce the project scope of work to include the Fairlands Drive improvements only with the remainder of the project to be included in the next budget; and WHEREAS, the bid of Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc., in the amount of $124,110.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc. be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc., in the amount of $124,110.00, for landscape improvements to Fairlands Drive street median, Project No. 885070, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc. for the improvements specified above. Section 3: Authorizes appropriation of an additional $5,000.00 from the General Fund to complete financing of the median improvements. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
