CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-38 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br />CONSOLIDATED LANDSCAPE SERVICES, INC., <br />FOR FAIRLANDS DRIVE MEDIAN IMPROVEMENTS, <br />PROJECT NO. 885070 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for <br />landscape improvements to street medians in various <br />locations, Project No. 885070; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br />the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br />for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br />February 20, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to the unexpected increased cost of the entire <br />project, Council decided to reduce the project <br />scope of work to include the Fairlands Drive <br />improvements only with the remainder of the project <br />to be included in the next budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc., <br />in the amount of $124,110.00 was determined to be <br />the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br />recommended that the bid of Consolidated Landscape <br />Services, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc., <br /> in the amount of $124,110.00, for landscape <br /> improvements to Fairlands Drive street median, <br /> Project No. 885070, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br />contract with Consolidated Landscape Services, Inc. <br />for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> Authorizes appropriation of an additional <br />$5,000.00 from the General Fund to complete <br />financing of the median improvements. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
