Policy 22 and Program 22.1 reflect policy in the 1996 General Plan Land Use <br />Element. <br />• A goal, policies, and programs on Public Art have been added. <br />• Under Community Activities: Program 24.1 has been rewritten to recognize the <br />impacts of street closures on local businesses and Programs 24.2 and 24.3 have <br />been added to encourage various types of community events. <br />On December 30, 2006, Council member McGovern submitted to staff a number of <br />questions and comments on the Draft Community Character Element. These questions <br />and staffs responses are included in Attachment 4 to this Agenda Report. The City <br />Council may wish to consider this additional information during its review of the Draft <br />Element.
