<br />Public Facilities and Community Programs <br /> <br />The Public facilities and Community Programs Element strives to improve Pleasanton's infrastructure <br />and public programs, including water, wastewater, garbage, education, libraries, parks and recreation, <br />community facilities and cultural arts, and human services. Public Facilities and Community Program <br />objectives that improve the City's infrastructure and community programs, including art, would also <br />pertain to the Community Character Element. <br /> <br />Conservation and Open Space <br /> <br />The Conservation and Open Space Element identifies eXlStlng and planned open space and <br />recreational uses, as well as historic resources, throughout the City of Pleasanton. Conservation and <br />Open Space objectives that would improve and/or make the outdoor environment more accessible <br />would pertain to the Community Character Element. The Conservation and Open Space Element <br />encourages an open space buffer surrounding Pleasanton and also encourages preservation of historic <br />buildings and areas, both concepts of which would comply with the Community Character Element. <br /> <br />Energy <br /> <br />The Energy Element guides Pleasanton toward a sustainable energy future. Green building techniques <br />from the Energy Element would also pertain to the Community Character Element. <br /> <br />Air quality <br /> <br />The Air Quality Element strives to improve air quality in Pleasanton.
