CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-25 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO JUDY AND <br />DONA~ PERSON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a sculpture, GIRL READING, has been installed in <br />the forecourt of the Pleasanton Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this sculpture is in memorial to their daughter, <br />Sarah Ann Lees, whose tragic death is grieved by <br />all; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this magnificent sculpture will cause an <br />unquestioned impact upon, and become a tremendous <br />asset to the cultural development of the entire <br />community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> The City Council commends Judy and Donald Person <br />for their very generous gift of the sculpture, GIRL <br />READING. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Council, as well as the people of the <br />community, will be stirred to greater and constant <br />efforts toward civic and cultural improvement <br />because of the presence of this very impressive <br />sculpture at the Pleasanton Library. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 6, 1990 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br />Mercer <br />None <br />Councilmember Butler <br />None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Peggy~/L~. ~zfdro ~/ <br />Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED.~AS ~~~.~~ · <br /> <br />Michael H.
