CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-16 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BUDGET AMENDMENT TO PROVIDE <br />ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR RENOVATION OF THE <br />PRESCHOOL BUILDING (PROJECT OFFICIAL NAME <br />- PT~ASANTON DAY CARE FACILITY, PROJECT <br />NO. 897058) TO ADDRESS STRUCTURAL <br />DEFICIENCIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has undertaken the renovation of the old <br />Alameda County Library Building to meet the <br />existing needs of the Preschool Program; and <br /> <br />City inspectors and consulting structural engineers <br />have identified basic building structural <br />deficiencies that must be addressed if the <br />completed building is to meet standard building <br />codes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the consulting engineer has identified the work <br />required to bring the building to code; and <br /> <br />bids totalling $89,702 have been received to <br />complete the identified work required to bring the <br />building to code. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> Authorizes appropriation of $89,702 from the <br />General Fund to cover the cost of addressing the <br />structural deficiencies found in the Pleasanton Day <br />Care Facility, Project No. 897058. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
