I attended the last meeting on November 8th
regarding the proposed modifications to St. Elizabeth church. I am concerned that the few of us who plan on
attending will not be able to effectively voice our opinion due to the large number of church members that will be
present. Also, while at attending the last meeting, key members of the church tried to what 1 label as "taking control of
the room" which was very annoying and I am concerned we will not be able to voice our opinions. Is there a chance
you can voice the opinions for us so that the church members will be forced to listen? Any help or guidance will be
greatly appreciated. It may sound funny but the church members seemed like a very rowdy and voicestrous group and I
do not want to say or do anything that will provoke them more.

Below are three of our main concerns:

1) Traffic - the church plans to use the proposed center/gym for after school activities that they are planning to run
daily from 4pm to 9pm. We can expect traffic to be busy every day during these times in the same way it is busy on
Sunday mornings when services begin and end.

2) Safety - Since the proposed center is planned to be located at the comer of Rheem and Stoneridge, we expect Rheem
to be very busy with families picking up and dropping their children. Even though the church has indicated it will not
be using Rheem for this purpose, the Board knows that it will be more convenient for people to do so. It is human
nature to do what is the most convenient for oneself rather than for people you do not know or care about.
The church is proposing to enter into an agreement with the neighboring commercial center on Rheem to use its
parking lot for overflow parking. This will mean that there will be families and unaccompanied children crossing
Rheem each evening in the dark. We are very concerned that someone will be hit by a car in this process. That would
be a true tragedy and is, by far, our greatest concern.

3) Noise - Our community is typically very quiet in the evenings and on weekends. If this project is approved as
presented, we can expect the experience a lot of noise from children, activities in the center from cars - specifically
affecting those properties on Bowen, Alexander and Krause where the backyards border the church property.

Feel free to call my cell phone anytime at

'.

Thanks,

Eric Souza

Cheap Talk?
