CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 92-230 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE DEVELO,PMENTADVISORY COMMITTEE ECONOMIC WHEREAS, on June 16, 1992, the City Council created the Pleasanton Economic Development Committee to conduct an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Pleasanton to maintain a positive business climate to: encourage and achieve completion of the City's long-term general plan as adopted (or amended) and to provide an ongoing stable economic base to provide the goods, services and facilities desired by the community; and WHEREAS, the Economic Development Committee made recommendations to the city Council, one of which called for the establishment of a standing Economic Development Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council does hereby establish the Economic Development Advisory Committee which shall serve as follows: To assess the current business climate in Pleasanton and to offer suggestions and recommendation for consideration on economic development issues to the City Council. To assist in recruiting and retaining business in the City of Pleasanton. Ce To meet with perspective businesses that are considering Pleasanton as a place of business for the purpose of providing information about the city. do To meet with perspective businesses that are considering leaving Pleasanton to discuss possibilities for remaining in the community. To suggest potential businesses or markets that should be recruited for Pleasanton.
