CONTRACT FOR CONSIILTANT SERDICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 15th day of October, <br />1991, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal <br />corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "City"), and Luhdorff <br />and Scalmanini Consulting Engineers , whose address is 500 First <br />Street, Woodland, CA 95695 , and telephone number is (916) 661- <br />0109, hereinafter referred to as the "Consultant"). <br />W I T N E 8 8 E T H: <br />A. Consultant is qualified to provide, and experienced in <br />providing, hydrogeological investigations, well and pump station <br />engineering, design and inspection services for a new groundwater <br />production well and has offered its services for the purposes <br />specified in this Agreement. <br />B. In the judgement of the City, it is necessary and <br />advisable to employ the services of Luhdorff and Scalmanini for the <br />purposes provided herein. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, <br />agreements and conditions contained herein, City and Consultant <br />agree as follows: <br />1. Consultants Services. Consultant shall diligently <br />perform the services and furnish the materials, reports, drawings, <br />and related materials as hereinafter set forth: <br />a. Consultant shall perform all work described in <br />Exhibit "A", Scope of Work, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br />b. Consultant shall meet with the technical staff of <br />-the City, other pertinent agencies, and/or <br />landowners as necessary to complete the scope of <br />work outlined in Section 1 (a) above. <br />2. City Services. In order to assist Consultant in this <br />work, City shall provide, if necessary, title reports, any existing <br />plans of the are on file, necessary direction and plan checking <br />within a reasonable time. <br />3. 8tat The Project Manager for Consultant shall be <br />Joseph C. Scalmanini Consultant shall not replace Mr. <br />Scalmanini without prior approval of the City. <br />- 1 - <br />
