AGREEMENT <br />FOR <br />ELECTRONIC POINT OF SALE SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRONIC POINT OF SALE SERVICES is made <br />on the date stated below by and between C;t~ of P12aSu.r~fovt <br />(the Client ) s ituated in f}I ~ivnt~La <br />County, C~livrnia , and Consumer Payment Services, Inc., a <br />Florida corporation ("CPS"). St. <br />Pte-cis u.rito h F CA ~t ~} 5l~fo <br />"Contractor" <br />Consumer Payment Services, Inc. <br />600 Lakeview Road, Suite A <br />Clearwater, Florida 34616 <br />WITNESSETH• <br />WHEREAS, the Client wishes to evaluate the performance of <br />electronic point of sale services in conjunction with the <br />Innovation Group as outlined in Appendix "A", Innovation Groups- <br />Evaluation Program for Electronic Point of Sale Services; and <br />WHEREAS, CPS represents that it is experienced in the business <br />of operating and maintaining electronic point of sale systems; and <br />WHEREAS, CPS operates a comprehensive consumer bill-payment <br />service known as "The Consumer Payment Alternative," or "CPA <br />Account," and <br />WHEREAS, through the use of the CPA account, CPS will process <br />the Client's customers' authorization for payments from their <br />designated credit card and demand deposit accounts and pay the <br />Client directly; and <br />WHEREAS, CPS has executed a Bankcard Services Agreement, <br />Appendix "C", with Ameritrust which designates CPS to be a merchant <br />qualified to accept credit cards bearing the logo and other <br />proprietary marks of Visa and MasterCard; and <br />WHEREAS, CPS, as the designated merchant, and not the Client, <br />will accept credit card payments; and <br />06/06/91 <br />
