IV. Rules and Regulations Gymnasium Rules and Regulations for Participants/Spectators 1. Tennis or basketball shoes only on gym floors. 2. Players with glasses must wear safety lens glasses or wear a protective cover. 3. No food/beverage in gymnasium (except as permitted by City or School). 4. No smoking in building. 5. No bicycles, skateboards, rollerskates, etc. in building. 6. No pets in building (except guide dog for visually impaired). 7. No radios/music tape machines, etc., in gym or locker rooms. 8. Jewelry/watches are not to be worn in games on courts of play. 9. Staff/patrons are responsible for personal property. City is not responsible for staff/patron personal items in the gym, office area, locker rooms or surrounding areas. 10. No heavy equipment, furniture or the like to be slid over or on top of hardwood courts. 11. No loitering in and/or around gymnasium. 12. Use of profanity can result in expulsion from building. General Rules and Regulations Whenever gymnasiums are used, the general rules and regulations, as established by the City of Pleasanton and the School District's Community Service Policy, shall be enforced. City of Pleasanton General Rules and Regulations 1. Gymnasium will not be available for programs on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday or Thanksgiving Day except by special arrangement. 2. No advertisement shall be exhibited, no petitions circulated and no solicitation or sales made in the building or on the ground without written permission of the Chief of Police. 3. Building capacity shall be posted and shall not exceed the capacity established by the California Safety Code and/or the City of Pleasanton's Fire Chief. 4. All meetings shall be in the public interest and open to the public. 5. Non-City/School organizations or groups must have satisfactory adult sponsorship and supervision as determined by City staff. - 5 -
