CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-158 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE MUNICIPAL <br />COURT AND SUPERIOR COURT JUDGES INCLUDE THE <br />PAYMENT OF THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA'S CRIMINAL <br />JIISTICE ADMINISTRATION FEE IN ANY JUDGMENT OF <br />CONVICTION OR IN ANY TERMS OF PROBATION. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Alameda, pursuant to the purported <br />authority of SB2557, imposes on the City of Pleasanton a <br />criminal justice administration fee for all persons who <br />are "booked" into the County jail; and <br />WHEREAS, SB21 added Section 29550.1 to the Government Code to <br />allow cities to recover this fee from the person arrested <br />and convicted; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has adopted an ordinance pursuant <br />to the authority of SB21. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: City Council requests that the Municipal Court and <br />Superior Court judges of Alameda County include the <br />payment of the County of Alameda's criminal justice <br />administration fee in any judgment of conviction or in <br />any terms of probation of a person convicted. <br />Section 2: The City Manager is directed to transmit this request <br />to the Presiding Judges, along with the specific amount <br />of the fee which the County has imposed. <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 17, 1991, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and <br />Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />~~f~~~~ <br />Michael H.
