PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-73A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />CASE UP-89-31, APPLICATION OF PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE <br />COMPANY OF AMERICA FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />OPERATE A HELIPORT <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied for <br />a conditional use permit to allow the operation of a <br />heliport facility, including a landing pad, on-site <br />parking, landscaping, and related improvements on the <br />property located on the north side of Owens Drive <br />opposite its intersection with Willow Road; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development <br />- Industrial, Commercial and Offices District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 23, 1989, the Planning <br />Commission received a proposed negative declaration for <br />UP-89-31; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated June 1, 1989 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held August 23, 1989 <br />at which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposal would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for <br />Case UP-89-31, the application of Prudential Insurance <br />Company of America for a conditional use permit to allow <br />the operation of a heliport facility, including a <br />landing pad, on-site parking, landscaping, and related <br />improvements on the property located on the north side <br />of Owens Drive opposite its intersection with Willow <br />Road. <br />
