PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-65 <br />RESOLUTION DENYING APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />FOR CASE GP-89-2 AS FILED BY JEANETTE WESTBROOK <br />WHEREAS, Jeanette Westbrook has applied to amend the Land Use <br />Element designation of the General Plan from Low Density <br />Residential to Medium Density Residential, or to any <br />other land use designation deemed in the public <br />interest, for an approximately nine acre site located on <br />the north side of Old Dublin Canyon Road generally in <br />the area approximately 5,000 feet west of the <br />intersection of Foothill Road and Old Dublin Canyon <br />Road; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 24, 1989, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, prior to determining the most appropriate land uses for <br />the lands across Dublin Canyon Road, the City Council <br />directed staff to prepare a study of public .services, <br />access, soils, topography and other factors, and placed <br />this parcel as well as others into a special study zone. <br />The outcome of the Annexation Feasibility Study may <br />affect the type of use on the site. This study will not <br />completed for 3-6 months. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Denies approval of Case GP-89-2, the application of <br />Jeanette Westbrook for a General Plan amendment to <br />change the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the <br />approximately nine acre site located on the north side <br />of Old Dublin Canyon Road generally in the area <br />approximately 5,000 feet west of the intersection of <br />Foothill Road and Old Dublin Canyon Road from Low <br />Density Residential to Medium Density Residential. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON THE 24TH DAY OF MAY 1989 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: chmn-issioners Berger, Horan, Hovingh, Mahern, and <br />airman Michelotti <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />
