PLANNING COMMISSION CITY 'OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-47 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR WELLS <br />FARGO BANK AS FILED UNDER CASE UP-89-19 <br />WHEREAS, Wells Fargo Bank has applied for a conditional use <br />permit to operate a branch bank to be located at the <br />southeast corner of the intersection of Hopyard Road and <br />Stoneridge Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development} - Industrial/Commercial and Offices <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of April 26, 1989, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br />A. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning <br />ordinance and the purposes of the district in which <br />the site is located. <br />One of the objectives of the zoning ordinance is to <br />promote commercial and industrial activities in <br />order to strengthen the city's tax base. The <br />proposed use is a commercial activity that will add <br />to the city's economic base. By permitting the <br />establishment and operation of the proposed bank <br />with conditions at the proposed location, the city <br />will be adding to the economic vitality of the city <br />and the area. <br />The proposed banking operation will be of benefit <br />to The Crossroads complex and to the surrounding <br />neighborhoods. <br />B. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />and the conditions under which it would be operated <br />or maintained will not be detrimental to the public <br />health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious <br />to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. <br />The proposed operation is generously set back from <br />the neighboring residential area and completely <br />contained on-site with sufficient parking and <br />
