^ PROJECT ECONOMIC, SOCIAL ENVIRONMENTAL, AND OTHER BENEFITS
The project's economic, social, environmental, and other
benefits include:
1. provision of high-end housing consistent with City plans
and policies;
2. short-term local construction jobs;
3. likely positive City/County fiscal benefits due to
assumption of some City services by homeowners;
4. provision of on-site recreational facilities for project
residences;
5. permanent retention of open space directly along rural,
scenic Foothill Road and on Pleasanton Ridge;
6 dedication and improvement of Foothill Road expansion
meeting community needs;
7. improvement of riparian habitat on site; and
8. reduction in wildland fire risk to existing residences
through provision of fire management zone along Foothill
Road and above residences.
OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS
All significant effects have been eliminated or substantially
lessened where feasible through project revisions and
adoption of all feasible mitigation measures, as described
above, and all remaining significant environmental effects
are acceptable because the economic, social, environmental,
and other benefits of the project enumerated above outweigh
these unavoidable adverse environmental effects.
-11-
