PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-2 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE SP-88-2, THE <br />APPLICATION OF TMI ANALYSTS, THE DESILVA GROUP, AND THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered an application to <br />adopt the Laguna Oaks Specific Plan for a 155 acre site <br />located in the northwest corner of the intersection of <br />I-680 and Bernal Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 11, <br />1989 the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted a Draft and Final EIR at <br />their meeting of March 9, 1988 regarding this site, <br />certifying the EIR and making the required CEQA <br />findings. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends adoption of the Laguna Oaks Specific Plan, <br />on file with the Planning Department, dated January <br />1989, with the following clarifications: <br />1. Incorporate the concept of a private access, Gated <br />Community on the site; <br />2. Retain the densities shown on Land Unit A except <br />for those lots fronting Foothill Road and Bernal <br />Avenue which should be redesignated to 20,000 sq. <br />ft. minimum lots; <br />3. Revise the designation of Land Unit B for use as <br />single family homes or townhouses; <br />4. Retain the connection to Foothill Knolls as an <br />emergency vehicle access only road; <br />5. Maintain the modified 1972 alignment of Foothill <br />Road, including a separated bicycle/pedestrian path <br />as shown in the Specific Plan map; <br />6. Delete the previous reservation of land for a <br />possible elementary school site; <br />
