PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEABANTON ALAMEDA COIINTY, CALIFORNIA RE80LIITION N0. PC-90-100 REBOLOTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN ALIGNMENT AND BTREET CR088-SECTION - STANLEY BOIILEVARD AND DEL VALLE PARKWAY WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is desirous of establishing preliminary alignment and street cross-sections for portions of the two major thoroughfares located at Stanley Boulevard from the First Street bridge to California Avenue and Del Valle Parkway from Stanley Boulevard - First Street intersection to Bernal Avenue; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 24, 1990, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: 1. That the proposed Stanley Boulevard alignment and section (Option 1, 116 ft. section) are consistent with the General Plan; 2. That the proposed Del Valle Parkway alignment and section (Option B, 64.5 ft. section) are consistent with the policies of the General Plan despite its description as a four-lane, divided street. WHEREAS, both streets were assessed at the planned widths/alignments in the General Plan EIR, no new information or changed circumstances warrant further analysis at this time. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of the proposed Stanley Boulevard- First Street -- Option 1, 116 ft. cross-section; Del Valle Parkway -- Option B, 64.5 ft. cross-section with the following preferences: * That on Del Valle Parkway the center turnlane be proposed as landscaping and turnlanes, rather than just turn lanes. * That the Commission recommend that a great deal of consideration be given to Stanley Boulevard (between Main Street and First/Stanley Boulevard) in that the whole 66 ft. may not be needed and
