PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEABANTON <br />ALAMEDA COIINTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RE80LIITION N0. PC-90-100 <br />REBOLOTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN ALIGNMENT AND BTREET <br />CR088-SECTION - STANLEY BOIILEVARD AND DEL VALLE PARKWAY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is desirous of establishing <br />preliminary alignment and street cross-sections for <br />portions of the two major thoroughfares located at <br />Stanley Boulevard from the First Street bridge to <br />California Avenue and Del Valle Parkway from Stanley <br />Boulevard - First Street intersection to Bernal Avenue; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 24, 1990, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br />1. That the proposed Stanley Boulevard alignment and <br />section (Option 1, 116 ft. section) are consistent <br />with the General Plan; <br />2. That the proposed Del Valle Parkway alignment and <br />section (Option B, 64.5 ft. section) are consistent <br />with the policies of the General Plan despite its <br />description as a four-lane, divided street. <br />WHEREAS, both streets were assessed at the planned <br />widths/alignments in the General Plan EIR, no new <br />information or changed circumstances warrant further <br />analysis at this time. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the proposed Stanley Boulevard- <br />First Street -- Option 1, 116 ft. cross-section; Del <br />Valle Parkway -- Option B, 64.5 ft. cross-section with <br />the following preferences: <br />* That on Del Valle Parkway the center turnlane be <br />proposed as landscaping and turnlanes, rather than <br />just turn lanes. <br />* That the Commission recommend that a great deal of <br />consideration be given to Stanley Boulevard <br />(between Main Street and First/Stanley Boulevard) <br />in that the whole 66 ft. may not be needed and <br />
