PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RE30LUTION N0. PC-90-94 RE80LUTION APPROVING CASE UP-85-30-1M, THE APPLICATION OF PLEASANTON AUTO REPAIR FOR A MODIFICATION TO A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT WHEREAS, Pleasanton Auto Repair and Service has applied for an amendment to an approved conditional use permit to alliow minor repair of automobiles outdoors at its existing automobile service facility located at 3663 Old Santa Rita Road; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-S (Commercial Service) District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 10, 1990, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: A. That the proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purpose of the district in which the site is located. One of the objectives of the zoning ordinance is to ensure that public and private lands are used for purposes which are beneficial to the City as a whole. As conditioned, the proposed use would provide a beneficial service to the community. The proposed use can be accommodated on the project site and is compatible with other commercial uses within the immediate area. Although residential units were subsequently constructed adjacent to this commercial facility, there have not been any adverse impacts resulting from its operations on the residential units. B. That the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. As conditioned, the performance of outdoor minor automobile repairs would not involve the use of hazardous materials or noisy machinery. As a result of the limitations to the type of repairs
