EXHIBIT A DRAFT ORDINANCE FOR COMMERCIAL FOR SALE OR LEASE SIGNS Section 18.96.040 Signs in A or R Districts F. Signs pertaining to the sale, lease, rental or display of a structure or land, to be removed thirty (30) days after the sale, lease or rental: 1. For properties located in the A district, one non- illuminated sign not exceeding twelve square feet; 2. For properties located in the R district, one non- illuminated sign not exceeding six square feet. Section 18.96.050 Signs in O Districts C. Signs pertaining to the sale, lease, rental or display of a structure or land, diffused or indirectly illuminated, to be removed thirty (30) days after the sale, lease or rental, as provided below: 1. For sites less than two acres in size, one sign not to exceed twelve square feet and a height of six feet. Said sign may be freestanding or mounted on the building. Freestanding signs must be located not less than ten feet from the street property line or back of sidewalk, whichever distance is greater; 2. For sites of two or more acres in size, one freestanding sign per street frontage, each sign not to exceed thirty-two square feet and a height of eight feet. Said sign shall be placed parallel to the street and shall be located not less than ten feet from the street property line or back of sidewalk, whichever distance is greater. For corner lots, signs shall not be located within fifty feet of the intersection of the street property lines. Section 18.96.060 Signs in C and I Districts H.
