PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. PC-90-91 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-90-6, THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE SIGN ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Sign Ordinance, Section 18.96 of the Municipal Code (1) to allow real estate signs to be displayed for more hours than currently permitted, and (2) to amend commercial "for sale," "lease," "rental" sign regulations in all applicable districts; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 10, 1990, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did not feel allowing real estate signs to be displayed for more hours than currently permitted is an appropriate change; and WHEREAS, the balance of the amendments proposed on the attached exhibit, with modifications made at this hearing, are appropriate changes to the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the proposed Municipal Code changes are consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-90-6, the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Sign Ordinance, Section 18.96 of the Municipal Code pertaining to amend commercial "for sale," "lease," "rental" sign regulations in all applicable districts as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part of this case by reference._ Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
