<br /> <br />6C <br /> <br />- ., <br /> <br />pLEASANTONo <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />December 19. 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENTATION AND GRANT OF EASEMENTS TO <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER <br />CONSERVATION DISTRICT, ZONE 7, FOR ITS MOCHO <br />GROUNDWATER DEMINERALIZATION PLANT PROJECT <br />(STONERIDGE DRIVE AT SANTA RITA ROAD) <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of December 19, 2006: <br /> <br />I. Approve the grant of easements to Alameda County Flood Control and <br />Water Conservation District, Zone 7, for the Mocho Groundwater <br />Demineralization Plant Project on Stoneridge Drive at Santa Rita <br />Road. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the deeds granting the <br />easements. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Zone 7 is proposing to construct and operate a 7,7 million gallon per day <br />reverse osmosis (demineralization) wellhead treatment facility on an <br />approximately one-acre site located on the northwest corner of Stoneridge <br />Drive and Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br />To facilitate access to and from the demineralization facility, and place <br />new underground pipelines between their wells and the new facility, Zone <br />7 needs two easements through City-owned property. The first easement <br />is for a new egress driveway from the facility on the north curb line of <br />Stoneridge Drive, just easterly of the Arroyo Mocho/Stoneridge Drive <br /> <br />SR 06:290 <br />Page I of7 <br />
