CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-200 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REVISINGTHECITYCOUNCIL RULES AND <br />OPERATING PROCEDURES REGARDING CONTINUATION OF <br />AN AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section VII. Rules of Debate, Subsection G, is amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> <br />RULES OF DEBATE <br /> <br />G. Continuance of an Item <br /> <br />The following procedures are acceptable for <br />continuing an item: <br /> <br />1. Continuance by a Council member. <br /> <br />Any Council member may continue an item <br />(not subject to a legal or city-imposed <br />deadline) to the next Council meeting, or <br />other date agreeable to a majority of the <br />Council. This continuance requires a <br />majority vote of the Council members <br />present at the meeting.
