Application Verification Community of Character Declaration I attest that the information contained in this FY 2007/08 City Grant application is accurate and that the funds requested will not supplant any other monies secured by the agency. I further agree that the agency will abide by the precepts of the "Community of Character" as stated in Application Packet on Page ###. Attached is a resolution, letter, or other document providing evidence that the Board of Directors approved the application as submitted, and endorses the precepts of the "Community of Character. One ofthe major themes of the Plan is "Community of Character". Character is the nature of a person with the courage to care about doing the right thing regardless of pressures and conflicts - being able to choose right over wrong, especially in complex situations)." The concept seeks to promulgate a series of precepts than can be utilized in all aspects of public discourse and activity. The precepts include: . Integrity . Honesty . Responsibility . Respect . Compassion . Self-Discipline Each applicant agency is being asked to endorse and abide by these principles by signing this declaration.
