Application Verification <br />Community of Character Declaration <br /> <br />I attest that the information contained in this FY 2007/08 City Grant application is accurate and <br />that the funds requested will not supplant any other monies secured by the agency. I further <br />agree that the agency will abide by the precepts of the "Community of Character" as stated in <br />Application Packet on Page ###. <br /> <br />Attached is a resolution, letter, or other document providing evidence that the Board of Directors <br />approved the application as submitted, and endorses the precepts of the "Community of <br />Character. One ofthe major <br />themes of the Plan is "Community of <br />Character". Character is the nature of a <br />person with the courage to care about doing <br />the right thing regardless of pressures and <br />conflicts - being able to choose right over <br />wrong, especially in complex situations)." <br /> <br />The concept seeks to promulgate a series of <br />precepts than can be utilized in all aspects of <br />public discourse and activity. The precepts <br />include: <br /> <br />. Integrity <br />. Honesty <br />. Responsibility <br />. Respect <br />. Compassion <br />. Self-Discipline <br /> <br />Each applicant agency is being asked to <br />endorse and abide by these principles by <br />signing this declaration. <br />
