<br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-073 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON SETTING <br />COMPENSATION FOR MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, compensation for the City's management and confidential employees, <br />except the City Manager and City Attorney, is set forth in the City's Management and <br />Confidential Employees Compensation Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current Management and Confidential Employees Compensation Plan <br />expired on August 31, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to <br />increase the salary control points for each management and confidential classification to allow <br />for performance-based salary increases not to exceed a pool equal to 4.0% of management <br />compensation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />the following: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves a revIsion to the Management and Confidential Employees <br />Compensation Plan to allow for performance-based salary increases not to exceed a <br />pool equal to 4.0% of management compensation and authorizes the City Manager to <br />implement the revised Management and Confidential Employees Compensation Plan. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton this 7th day of November 2006. <br /> <br />I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br />resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of <br />November 2006, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />~.. <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />~~ /IflJ <br /> <br />Michael H.
