PLANNSNG COMM=SS ION C=TY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CAL=FORNSA <br />RESOLUTSON NO_ PC-90-41 <br />RESOLUTSON RECOMMEND=NG APPROVAL OF CASE Z-90-59, THE <br />APPLSCAT=ON OF REYNOLDS AND BROWN <br />WHEREAS, Reynolds and Brown Piave applied for approval for a <br />comprehensive signing program for an approved retail <br />commercial complex to be located at the corner of the <br />intersection o£ .TOhnson Drive and Owens Drive- and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />- =ndustrial/Commercial and Offices District, and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing Of April 25, 1990 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City sta££ <br />concerning this applications and <br />WHEREAS this project is categorically exempt £rom the <br />requirements of CEQA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANN=NG COMM2SS ION OF THE CSTY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1_ Approves the application o£ Reynolds and Brown for a <br />comprehensive signing program for an approved retail commercial <br />complex to be located at the corner o£ the intersection o£ Johnson <br />Drive and Owens Drive subject to the following conditions. <br />1_ Signage for the project is to be substantially in <br />compliance with the sign program marked Exhibit ••C•• <br />dated March 29, 1990p except as modified by other <br />conditions of approval_ <br />a_ The two lines of copy allowed in the arch area <br />o£ buildings A and B be allowed to be a maximum <br />of 48•• total height_ <br />Z The height of the freestanding project identity sign <br />shall be no greater than 32'_ <br />3_ Signs placed on the freestanding project identity <br />sign shall be limited to a total area of the top <br />cabinet area which will contain the primary tenant <br />(Home Depot) and an area of three tenant sign panels <br />below that will contain no more than three tenant <br />signs. A maximum of two sides of this freestanding <br />project identity sign shall contain said signage_ <br />At no time shall any signsbe placed on the two <br />sides o£ the project identity sign that are to <br />remain free of signage_ <br />4_ This sign program shall apply to the entire site on <br />which Home Depot will anchor. <br />
