<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE REPORT OF <br />THE PLEASANTON DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT ADVISORY BOARD, DECLARING THE INTENTION TO <br />LEVY AN ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR 2007 AND ESTABLISHING <br />A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE <br />PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on has heretofore established a Pleasanton Downtown Business <br />Improvement District, the purposes and boundaries of which are set forth in Chapter 5.28, <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on has heretofore appointed an Advisory Board for the Pleasanton <br />Downtown Business Improvement District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has prepared a report for 2007, which report is on file with the City <br />Clerk, which report satisfies the statutory requirements of Streets and Highways Code, <br />~36533 and which report is attached to this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and approved. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council intends to levy and collect assessments within the District for 2007, for <br />the proposed improvements and activities as provided in Chapter 5.28 of the Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code and as provided in the attached report. <br /> <br />Section 3: The public hearing on the levy of the proposed assessment for 2007 is set for Tuesday, <br />December 19,2006, at 7:00 p.m., in the City of Pleasant on City Hall Council Chambers, <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, at which time written or oral protests to <br />the assessment may be made, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said <br />hearing as provided in ~36534 of the Streets and Highway Code. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
