CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-181 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REFERRING LITIGATION TO THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY FOR APPROPRIATE ACTION TO DEFEND THE <br />CITY <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTONRESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Secti____on 1: The Summons and Complaint in the United States District <br /> Court, Northern District of California, Case No. <br /> C-92-3004-SAW, in the matter of Elizabeth Lafferty v. <br /> city of Berkeley, et al., served on the defendants on <br /> August 15, 1992, is hereby referred to the City Attorney <br /> for action as deemed necessary and appropriate to defend <br /> the City of Pleasanton, its officers, agents, and <br /> employees in said action, and the city Attorney is hereby <br /> authorized to incur expenses reasonably necessary for <br /> such purpose. <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br /> REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br /> A MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 15, 1992 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Tarver <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />Michael H.
