<br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-071 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DESIGNATING <br />CITY'S MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES AS EMPLOYEES WHO MUST COMPLETE ETHICS <br />TRAINING ON A BIANNUAL BASIS PURSUANT TO AB 1234 (GOVERNMENT CODE <br />SECTION 53234(C)(2) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1234, which became effective January 2006, amended the <br />California Government Code to require that certain public officials complete ethics training every <br />two years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 53234(c)(2) of the Government Code allows the legislative body to <br />require certain employees to complete ethics training by designating those employees to <br />receive the training; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to designate all City employees within the <br />management group as being employees who are required to receive the training. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />hereby designates that all City employees within the management group are employees who <br />must complete ethics training consistent with Government Code section 53234. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton this 7th day of November 2006. <br /> <br />I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br />resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of <br />November 2006, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FO~M/7 ,?J <br />---Z/'fA1.U(ai.L IH~ <br /> <br />Michael H.
