RESOLUTION NO. 06-072 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING THE APPEAL, THEREBY UPHOLDING THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S APPROVAL OF PADR-1472, THE APPLICATION OF PETER SHUTTS, ON BEHALF OF STAN AND STACEY KNIGHT, FOR ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PAP-95 WHEREAS, Peter Shutts, on behalf of Stan and Stacey Knight, has applied for administrative design review approval to construct: (1) an approximately 180-square-foot covered patio; (2) an approximately 292-square-foot first-floor addition on the rear; and (3) an approximately 1 ,251-square-foot second-story addition over part of the center and side portions of the existing residence located at 779 Mirador Court; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District; and WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, Dennis and Barbara Georgatos submitted an appeal (Case PAP-93) of the Zoning Administrator's approval to the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, at its meetings of June 14, 2006 and June 28, 2006, the Planning Commission, after having considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of City staff concerning this application, approved the appeal, thereby reversing the Zoning Administrator's approval, without prejudice; and WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicants submitted an appeal (Case PAP,95) of the Planning Commission's decision to the City Council; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 7, 2006, the City Council received a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development, together with a copy of the staff report to the Planning Commission, regarding this matter; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on November 7, 2006, at which time the applicants and members of the public were offered an opportunity to present evidence regarding this appeal; and WHEREAS, after a review of the materials presented, the City Council determined that the proposed design, as conditioned, is appropriate and is consistent with the zoning regulations for the zoning district of the property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton the following:
