<br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-072 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING <br />THE APPEAL, THEREBY UPHOLDING THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S APPROVAL OF <br />PADR-1472, THE APPLICATION OF PETER SHUTTS, ON BEHALF OF STAN AND STACEY <br />KNIGHT, FOR ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE PAP-95 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Peter Shutts, on behalf of Stan and Stacey Knight, has applied for <br />administrative design review approval to construct: (1) an approximately 180-square-foot <br />covered patio; (2) an approximately 292-square-foot first-floor addition on the rear; and (3) an <br />approximately 1 ,251-square-foot second-story addition over part of the center and side portions <br />of the existing residence located at 779 Mirador Court; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, Dennis and <br />Barbara Georgatos submitted an appeal (Case PAP-93) of the Zoning Administrator's approval <br />to the Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meetings of June 14, 2006 and June 28, 2006, the Planning <br />Commission, after having considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning this application, approved the appeal, thereby <br />reversing the Zoning Administrator's approval, without prejudice; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicants <br />submitted an appeal (Case PAP,95) of the Planning Commission's decision to the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 7, 2006, the City Council received a report from <br />the Director of Planning and Community Development, together with a copy of the staff report to <br />the Planning Commission, regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on November 7, 2006, at which time <br />the applicants and members of the public were offered an opportunity to present evidence <br />regarding this appeal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after a review of the materials presented, the City Council determined that <br />the proposed design, as conditioned, is appropriate and is consistent with the zoning regulations <br />for the zoning district of the property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />the following: <br />
