CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-168 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF I~ WITH REGARD TO PO~I/C <br />AGENCY FUNDS AND THE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION <br />PROGRAM/CONGESTIONMITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY <br />IMPRO~PROGRAMFOR FIVE PROJECTS <br /> <br />the city of Pleasanton has applied and been recommended <br />for $549,000 consisting of $403,000 in State <br />Transportation Plan (STP) and $146,000 Congestion <br />Management Air Quality (CMAQ) funding for (1) Hopyard <br />Road Resurfacing (Black Avenue to Arroyo del Valle), <br />(2) Hopyard Road Resurfacing (Valley Avenue to Black <br />Avenue), (3) Santa Rita Road Resurfacing (Rosewood Drive <br />to Pimlico Drive), (4) Signal Timing (Stoneridge Drive <br />from Foothill Road to Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue <br />from Greenwood Road to Stanley Boulevard), and (5) <br />Central Traffic Signal Master Computer in the 1993 <br />Transportation Improvement Program adopted by the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission and approved by <br />the Federal Highway Administration; and <br /> <br />a prerequisite for inClusion in the 1993 TIP is the <br />adoption of a local resolution saying that: <br /> <br /> 1. The project will be built as described in the <br /> submitted prospectus. <br /> <br /> 2. $118,510, as shown in Table 1 of the Appendix, will <br /> be guaranteed and provided by the City of <br /> Pleasanton as local matching funds to the extent <br /> not reduced by an further grant assistance from the <br /> State· <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton understands that the <br />STP/CMAQ funding is fixed at $549,000 as shown in <br />Table 1, therefore any cost increases cannot be <br />expected to be funded with STP/CMAQ funds. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The project will be built as described above. <br /> <br />Section 2: The sum of $118,510, as shown in Table 1 of the <br /> Appendix, will be guaranteed and provided by the City of <br /> Pleasanton as local matching funds to the extent not <br /> reduced by any future grant assistance from the State. <br /> <br /> <br />
