CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 92-157 WHEREAS, RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR ANAMENDMENTTOTHEHOUSING ET.R~RNTOFTHE GENERAL PLAN PRESERVING EXISTING ASSISTED RENTAL HOUSING, AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-92-3 at its meeting of August 4, 1992, the City Council received a proposed negative declaration for an amendment to the Housing Element of the General Plan to achieve compliance with California Government. Code Section 65583(a) (8), which requires all cities and counties to conduct an analysis and undertake General Plan programs for preserving existing assisted rental housing developments that are eligible to change to non-low- income during the next ten years due to the termination of subsidy contract, mortgage pre-payment or expiration of use restrictions; and WHEREAS, the city Council. has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated June 5, 1992 and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan Amendment would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for an amendment to the Housing Element of the General Plan to achieve compliance with California Government Code Section 65583(a) (8) to preserve existing assisted rental housing developments, as filed under Case GP-92-3.
