CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-145 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RESCINDING VARIOUS RESOLUTIONS <br />PERTAINING TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST PROVISIONS <br />FOR CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AND DIRECTING <br />THE CITYC~.RRKTOFORWARDTHEREVISEDCONFLICT <br />OF INTEREST CODE TO THE FAIR POLITICAL <br />PRACTICES COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the Political Reform Act of 1974, as amended, <br />the City of Pleasanton has adopted conflict of interest <br />provisions applicable to its various boards and <br />commissions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has introduced Ordinance No. 1573 to <br />adopt a model Conflict of Interest Code which will be <br />applicable to all designated officials and employees; and <br /> <br />upon the effective date of said Ordinance, the various <br />conflict of interest provisions now in existence will no <br />longer be necessary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Political Reform Act requires public agencies every <br />two years to review its conflict of interest code and to <br />inform the Fair Political Practices Commission of any <br />amendments thereto or to submit a report that no <br />amendments were deemed necessary. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Resolution Nos. 76-216 (City Council), 77-12 (City <br /> Council), 77-91 (Boards and Commissions), and 77-278 <br /> (Exemption process) are hereby rescinded in their <br /> entirety. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy <br />of Ordinance No. 1573 to the Fair Political Practices <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective August 21, 1992, <br /> the effective date of Ordinance No. 1573. <br /> <br /> <br />
