WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-126 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />OF THE GENERAL PLAN AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />GP-91-7 AND ADOPTING THE NORTH SYCAMORE <br />SPECIFIC PLAN AS FILED UNDER CASE SP-88-6 <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Land Use <br />Element designation of the General Plan from "Low and <br />Medium Density Residential" to a reconfigured combination <br />of "Low and Medium Density Residential" uses, and <br />"Retail, Highway, and Service Commercial/Business and <br />Professional Office" uses for the property located <br />generally north of Sycamore Road, east of Sunol <br />Boulevard, and south of the Mission Park and Ventana <br />Hills neighborhoods; and <br /> <br />the City Council also initiated the North Sycamore <br />Specific Plan process to provide a comprehensive plan for <br />the 135-acre area located generally north of Sycamore <br />Road, east of Sunol Boulevard, and south of the Mission <br />Park and Ventana Hills neighborhoods; and <br /> <br />Specific Plan documents were subsequently prepared by the <br />consulting firm of Brady and Associates; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission conducted a series of public <br />hearings on the project documents and recommended that <br />the City Council approve a General Plan amendment and <br />specific plan for the site and certify completion of the <br />project EIR and EIR Addendum; and <br /> <br />public hearings were held on February 4, 1992, March 17, <br />1992, and June 16, 1992, at which time the City Council <br />reviewed the proposed General Plan amendment and the <br />North Sycamore Specific Plan and considered all related <br />reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations; and <br /> <br />the City Council determined that an Environmental Impact <br />Report (EIR) and EIR Addendum were appropriate for the <br />General Plan Amendment and the Specific Plan and adopted <br />Resolution Nos. 92-35 and 92-125 certifying the adequacy <br />of the EIR and EIR Addendum; and <br /> <br />the EIR indicates significant environmental effects would <br />result from the Specific Plan, as summarized in the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Findings, <br />made part of this case by reference; and <br /> <br /> <br />
