CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-124 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A TEN <br />ACRE SITE TO "LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL", AS <br />FILED UNDERCASE GP-92-2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has initiated an amendment to the <br />Land Use Element designation of the General Plan for. an <br />approximately ten acre site to change the designation of <br />such site from "Public Health and Safety" to "Low Density <br />Residential"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the property is located on the east side of Foothill <br />Road, north of the Verona Bridge; .and <br /> <br />the Council received a recommendation from the Planning <br />Commission to approve the amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) prepared and <br />certified by the County of Alameda, addressed the <br />potential impacts of residential development on this <br />site, and measures were adopted and included as part of <br />the conditions of approval of the development, or <br />incorporated into the project by design, which mitigated <br />to an insignificant level those impacts identified as <br />having a significant or potentially significant adverse <br />effect on the environment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council accepted that final EIR as adequate and <br />complete in its evaluation of the proposed project at the <br />time of annexation and has determined that no further <br />environmental review is necessary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on June 16, 1992 <br />with respect to the General Plan Amendment at which time <br />any member of the public was afforded the opportunity to <br />address the City Council on said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council desires to make changes to the Land Use <br />Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the <br />four times during the calendar year such changes may be'. <br />made; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that this proposed General Plan <br />amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of <br />the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
