CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-116 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FISCAL YEAR 1992-93 <br />APPROPRIATION LIMIT AND REVISING THE 1991-92 <br />LIMIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Article XIIIB of the State of California Constitution <br />(Proposition 4 on.the November 6, 1979 ballot) requires <br />that each year the governing body of each local agency <br />establish its appropriation limit for the following year; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the 1991-92 appropriations limit was adopted on a <br />provisional basis; and <br /> <br />the City Council has determined that the 1991-92 limit <br />should be increased by $303,422 to reflect the transfer <br />of costs from Alameda County to the City based on the <br />County's implementation of SB 2557; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Proposition 111, passed by the voters in June of 1990, <br />expands the choices for making annual adjustments to the <br />appropriation limit based on various growth factors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has determined that the growth factors <br />of (1) the percentage change in the city population, and <br />(2) the percentage change in the local roll due to the <br />addition of non-residential construction in the city will <br />yield the highest net increase in the appropriation <br />limit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />selecting these growth factors and revising the 1991-92 <br />limit will result in a new appropriations limit for 1992- <br />93 of $62,635,213. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The appropriation limit for fiscal year 1991-92 is <br /> revised from $59,858,337 to $60,161,759. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The Proposition 111 growth factors selected for 1992-93 <br />are (1) the percentage change in the City population and <br />(2) the percentage change in the local roll due to non- <br />residential construction in the City. <br /> <br />Section 3: The appropriation limit for fiscal year 1992-93 is <br /> $62,635,213. <br /> <br /> <br />
