Richard Dobbs stated that he doesn't feel he has a right to comment, as the resolution should <br />reflect the Planning Commission's feelings on the Plan. <br /> <br />Patti Corrado stated that he feels because there wasn't ownership of the Plan by the Planning <br />Commission, the Commission is voting against the citizens' committee. Fie provided input <br />regarding specific areas of the resolution. <br /> <br />Martin Inderbitzen stated that he feels the resolution reads like a statement of findings and <br />facts after much deliberation, but he feels deliberation has not taken place at any level. He <br />said he has no suggestions for changes. He noted that the material prepared by opponents of <br />Measure K is reflective of the 'Whereas' in the Planning Commission resolution. <br /> <br />Karen Wilson stated that she objected to the previous speakers innuendos that the position of <br />the Planning Commission is only political and not one of a planning aspect. <br /> <br />Terry Spragg/ns reminded the Planning Commission Of the Committee's composition, noting <br />that the majority of the citizens on the Committee were against the Plan. She stated that she <br />feels the Planning Commiss/on is looking at what is best for the City of Pleasanton and that <br />the Planning Commission should adopt the resolution as is. <br /> <br />David Glenn stated that he does not identify any specific errors in the resolution and <br />commended the Planning Commission for what they have done. <br /> <br />Mayonne Gardty, 1870 Tanglewood, stated that the citizens' committee was not <br />representative of Pleasanton residents. She further stated that it is the Planning <br />Commissions' obligation to oppose the Plan by adopting the resolution. <br /> <br />TI~ IrCBLIC ~G WAS CLOSI~. <br /> <br />Commissioner Horan stated that he felt each 'Whereas' clau~ needed to be reviewed and <br />revised as necessary with regard to acctwacy. <br /> <br />A lengthy disc~_.ion ensued regarding the accuracy of each clause as interpreted by. <br />individual members of the Planning Commission and as each clause relates to specific <br />polities of the Plan. During the discussion Commissioner Horan advised that he feels the <br />statements made in the resolution are not factual. Chairman Mahern stated that she feels <br />they are factuaL Commissioner Wright advised that he agreed with Commissioner Horan <br />and that he feels the resolution is politically incorrect and that it is a matter of ~terpretn~on <br />of facts. <br /> <br />Chairman Mahem reminded the Commission that each member had an opportunity a month <br />ago to come up with a simple statement. <br /> <br /> <br />
